Hayz opens the door in Bluff for a small-group evening built around kai, kōrero and cooking together. Guests begin with a welcome drink, then get hands-on making cream pāua wontons, whitebait patties and classic fish bites before sitting down as one rōpū to share oysters, fish and chips, hāngī, shell chocolates and local pickled preserves. Along the way, Hayz shares stories of mahinga kai and the meaning behind feeding the stars at Matariki, with karakia, waiata and plenty of conversation woven through the night. Each guest heads home with a small harakeke taonga.
